Emmalyn's 1st Birthday!!!

Emmalyn turned one on April 19, 2011. She weighs 19lbs and is growing by the day. We decided to have her first birthday party the same weekend as Easter seeming how we have been busy every weekend now since March. Wilkins youngest brother, Van, is getting married on July 30 and Sherri is having her baby boy anytime now. Needless to say we have had several engagements going on till both.

On April 23rd, Saturday, at 2:00pm we threw Emmalyn an Easter Cookout First Birthday party at our home. It was so much fun and the weather was perfect! We had an Easter egg hunt for all of the kids in our backyard and munched on hotdogs, burgers, and tons of treats.

We also decorated cookies which was a big hit of all the young ones (and the young at heart)!

Emmalyn did not have a clue what was going on except that she got lots of attention..and loved eating her smash cake which was in the shape of a small pink Easter bunny!!!

Most of the family got to come and alot of our friends and it was such a blessing to have everyone all together! Emmalyn got so much stuff too!!!

This picture is of her opening her presents from me and Wilkins on her birthday. She got a new baby swing, clothes, monogrammed lunch box and backpack, and tons more!!!!

These days I will always remember!

The weekend before her birthday we decided to rent a condo in Gulf Shores for the weekend with just the three of us!!! It was so windy outside that she didn't get to really be on the beach. However, we made the best of it and got lucky with a jacuzzi in the room so me and her used that as our pool and played all weekend!

I'm cherishing every minute because she is growing so fast. This has been the most amazing year and it flew by. Thank you to everyone who has helped make us become better parents and supporting us through this first year. We are so very lucky to have the family and friends that we do. It is such a blessing as well to have 3 great grandparents for her- Nana (w's dads mom) and Papa & Grandma (my moms)! Even Mama Ann who passed away in February got to spend alot of time with her!!! With having grandchildren already you all have the best advice and love to spoil her. Nana is always buying Emmalyn the cutest dresses and wanting to spend as much time with her as she can (which tickles me to death). My grandparents have always been my biggest inspiration and it is so nice for Emmalyn to learn it too!!!

Sherri is due to have my nephew, Easton, at anytime! She is going to realize how fortunate we are to have the parents that we do! I can't wait to meet that bundle of joy- so hurry up and have him already..I am so excited! W and I are sitting on go, so whenever your ready:)

Tiffany is doing really well too! She is hoping to come home mid-October...and we can't wait! I love you sister and we pray for you everyday!!!
We got to skype her the other week and she looks so good...the desert does wonders for your skin and body apparently- sign me up, lol, yeah right they would take one look at me and throw me back due to babies not being much on holding artillery...cause E would have to come too!!!

This has been my biggest challenge is being separated from my daughter. I didn't know it would be so hard. Everyone keeps telling me to wait for to start walking and talking then I'll change my mind- who knows I can't see that right now! Wilkins and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary last Friday, June 3rd, and Emmalyn went to stay with my parents. Talk about missing her! All we did all weekend was wonder what she was doing and reminiscing how much has changed since we had her. She is our whole world and we love it that way!!! We did manage to have a nice dinner and go to a movie but it was hard. Thanks to my parents for keeping her happy and entertained for the weekend. She is still talking about playing with her Granddaddy and having grits with Gramie in the morning time! Well the few words that she can say, lol!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful beginning to their summer! I miss Mobile that has my family and friends but maybe one day we can come live there. I'm petitioning for Wilkins's job to open a branch down there and let him and Joesph run the whole deal...that would be perfect! Wilkins is so good at what he does and with the job market the way it is we can't leave great jobs but you never know if I can get Twin Companies to expand:)!!!

Love you all!!!
