First Lake Trip for Wilkins Birthday

Emmalyn went on her first overnight trip this weekend to our lake house at Lay Lake. She absolutely loved being outside- she reclined in the chair and got some sun and even wore her sunglasses!!!

It was Wilkins 32nd birthday Sunday so we celebrated all weekend with the family. On Friday night it was just us and Van and Gene who stayed. Of course, instead of celebrating and staying up late, I passed out early with Emmy. On Saturday, everyone else showed up including Lee and Megan- who just got engaged (Congrats guys, we are so excited for you)! Mrs. Dee, Mike, and Mama Ann came and we had a fish fry...it was so good!!! I wish we could eat and relax like this all the time. But again, I went to put E down early and passed out with her in bed. It is so tiring being a new mom. I just want to sleep! She is a good excuse to go to bed early though, lol! Emmalyn and her daddy are so cute together. The loves of my life! The sunglasses were a little too big but she rocked them out, because everything is still too big for her!!!

Me and Emmy relaxing on the dock just watching the sunset. She stayed awake the entire time we were outside Friday and Saturday, which was like 6 hours...the longest she has ever stayed up! However, she slept all night which was heaven!!! Wilkins had a great birthday and it meant the world to him that he had all of his family with him to celebrate. Happy Birthday babe- I love you!

Doctor Update

Look how precious she is except for constantly scratching her face! We went to her 2 week check-up yesterday and found out that she weighs 6lbs and 13ozs now. The doctor was very impressed by how much she has gained in this short time. He said she is very healthy and looks great for a peanut:) We loved her pedatrican, Dr. Anderson, he was very good with her and made me feel at ease. However, she did have to get her foot pricked again and that takes everything out of me because I hate to hear her cry like that. Good news though, he cleared us to travel beginning May 31st so get ready everyone cause we are hitting the town:)

Mother's Day Weekend

I had my first Mother's Day this year and it was wonderful. Saturday morning my parents came into town because all my mom wanted for her Mother's Day was to be with Emmalyn! After they arrived my grandparents came over and we all went on a family shopping trip to the galleria. Mom wanted to get me clothes for my present but it is hard wanting to shop when you don't know what size you are now and your scared to look :) However, I did find some things!

On Saturday night, Wilkins and I went on our first date since the baby. We went and got some sushi (which was heaven- so missed it while I was preggers) and then came home. So much for the night life these days! We were going to try and make it a fun night but we had nothing to do, lol! But thanks to my parents for babysitting, Im sure Emmalyn enjoyed it too.

On Sunday, Wilkins and Emmalyn gave me my gift and it was a patio table that W built. It is so pretty and perfect- I can't wait to use it this summer! All the family came over but my sisters (missed ya'll) and we cooked out. W grilled the steaks while mom and I made the rest of the food. Dad babysat again, he can't get enough!!! Before everyone left we took a four generations picture of us girls and a Webb family picture. This was a great holiday- we should celebrate everyday:). Thanks to all the moms, love you

Two Weeks

Two weeks down... I can't believe how fast it has flown by. She has finally gained some weight, hoping at least 6lbs now. I have noticed that her looks are slowly changing. Everything is getting a little wider and fuller. She is so beautiful! She is staying up for longer periods of time now, so that part is fun, watching all of her funny faces. It is amazing how you can stare at a baby for hours and not get bored :) She has so much personality to her, I can't wait to watch her grow into her own.
